I think all my squares and stitches end up looking like everyone else posted, but I am pretty sure I just discovered I am doing some of my stitches back wards! Should I need to worry about trying to correct my stitch in the future or if it looks all right, is it all right?
I think I am pulling my purl stitch in the opposite of what it should be. It is really hard to tell for certain.
Advice anyone?

I've been knitting since I was 6 when my Grandmother taught me, and I've never really though much about different knitting styles. but from the couple of videos I have watched since this KAL started I've noticed that I bring my yarn around the needle in the opposite direction. I don't really see any difference. I think if you are happy with your squares that is the main thing, and I wouldn't worry about it too much. Everyone doesn't knit in the exact same way. The way I look at it is whatever works for you, is what you should do, especially if you don't see a difference.

Lifetime, I'm the same way with crocheting. I sort of learned years ago. When someone tried to teach me how to make granny squares 3 years ago (I wanted to learn how to make holes!) she pushed me to do it the "right" way. It was just so unnatural feeling to me I quit. Two years ago someone was teaching crochet via the scripture afghan. She saw what I was doing and told me to continue my way as it didn't make a difference in the finished project. So thankful! I learned so very much from this lady and the afghan as it had many different patterns in it. The teacher told me that if I could do that afghan I could do anything. Not exactly true but she sure gave a beginner great confidence.

My "Clue 2" squares are really not working for me... They have more rows than I need to do a good job at assembling them although they are stretch to the max to have the right size. So I decided to do 4 squares of "Clue 1" with only the clue 2 color. Is it a crime ? ;-)

I'm half way done with clue 2. Just need to finish 2 more of these and I can move on to clue 3. I should probably stop working on side projects and just focus on getting this done. After all, I only have 2 months in which to completely finish this since I want to give it to my son for his birthday. :knit:

I sure hope so. He knows I'm working on it and that it'll be ready someday, but I really want to give it to him for his birthday since we should be closing on our new house that day as well and he'll finally get to have his own room.

Oh, I bet he is so excited to be getting his own room, AND his own blanket!
You are very brave to take on a blanket project in the midst of getting ready to move. :notworthy:
