So many bags...so little time. This little bag is so cute, but what I really loved was the flower. After several attempts and repeated failures, I discovered Mikey's video tutorial. Very helpful, but still had some trouble seeing what was going on in the back loop stitches.

After several hours (no seriously...I only wish I was joking. Thank goodness for OCD or I would have given up and thrown it off my balcony), and repeated viewings of Mikey's video, I did it!!!

What a good feeling. I'm feeling rather capable at the moment. Please bear with me while I pat myself on the back.

:crown: Queen for 5 minutes...sigh.

Congratulations! :bravo:

Although, it would be awfully funny to watch that flower go flying through the air from the balcony.

Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying learning to crochet, especially with everyone's help and encouragement on the forums.

For the clasp on mine I just crocheted a piece using 10sc and made it long enough to go from one side to the other and made a buttonhole on one end. Added a button and one button the same in the middle of the flower to follow through.

There's a shawlette using this stitch on Ravelry that might be nice with your purses. You have to pay for it, but it does not look like it would be hard to figure out the pattern, or close enough.

I could not resist after seeing all the great purses, so I had to give it a try. Just finished the top edging of the purse and instead of doing a last row of the pattern, I did a row of single crochet. It really gives it a nice, neat finished edge. Sigh now the fun part...the handles.

Watch the video done by the Crochet Crowd, link is on another page of this thread. I think it was chapter 3 that included the handles. They are not as hard as we all made them out to be. Once you see how he does it it will be easier. It only takes time to complete.
Congratulations on getting this far!
I carry my purse with me all the time now! I love it!
