I appreciate all of the labor and talents of the designers. I know too having designed a few small patterns myself that I kind of enjoy seeing what people do with my patterns. How they change it and make it their own in ways I probably wouldn't ever think of. It just makes the whole thing more fun.

I can't imagine what the remaining clues will be or how all of these will fit together. I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out in the end!

I agree, and find it very interesting when people make changes.
There are some really smart crocheters in here!

Me away from crocheting for over a week, but here's my clue 6 round 4 question:
I'm a lefty. Am I bringing in my hook from the back to the front in that sc space, pram I just going right Into the sc as normal? The lateness of the hour does not help at this moment, either. Thanks!!

Are you referring to the part of the design where it tells you to work into the side of the SC?
You should work into the side of the stitch, so your cluster slants to the side.

It looks to me like Photobucket removed it. I didn't touch it.
So, apparently, it's copyrighted by Photobucket.
We found a crochet smiley, and I sent it to Kaleigh. She must be busy busy busy with lots of Bernat stuff.

Sorry, Shandeh. Not trying to put you on the spot. I guess I didn't realize that the Photobucket people could have that access. I am a rank beginner at computer stuff and thought that the removal was you being efficient. Frankly I'm in awe how you handle so much. I guess my backhanded humor was misplaced. Sorry.

You didn't offend me at all, my friend. :D
I just wanted everyone to know that it was done by Photobucket.
They probably have a way of blocking external links from their protected images.

If the person's account that you use the link from moves their photos around, it will also break that link. I've found that happens more often than Photobucket blocking it. My hint - if you find a smiley you like, copy the image to your own computer or Photobucket account and link from there.

I think I have it. It really means almost tilting the motif (for me to the left) and going through not the "hole from the stitch part" but the "almost looking at the stitch as another chain sort of thing" way? Easier to video it, but can't do that here at work. In any case, the chains are lying to the side with the cluster (really just a dc2tog, right?) underneath, which I guess is the most important thing.

I wanted an afghan that was a bit heavier and less lacy .. so a random internet search for crochet octagons found me a small pot holder that I liked the look of and I just modified it a bit and then expanded it by adding 3 rows of my own to make it 11".

That's a bad picture of Birch White by the way ..looks very beige/pink in that photo.

Good Golly MzMolly!
What a beautiful pattern. It does resemble the Clue 6, but much heavier. Love it! :bravo:

Are we actually getting the final layout on Wednesday? That would be awesome! :D

I don't want to get too exited though - the KAL group had a week to block though, so I was kind of assuming that we would too...

I too am totally assuming we will have a catch up / block week then the following week we will get the official design! I am so excited! I expect we will also have a 'Blanket Possibility' thread for those who have finished this week.
ooh the anticipation! How oh how will these all go together! I can guess but I doubt I can figure it out officially!

Playing with the blocks a little bit, but not with all of them! :)

As always, your work is GORGEOUS! :inlove: :notworthy: :inlove:

I could totally use a "catch up" week. The weather here in CT was way too nice last week to get very serious about crocheting. So I fell behind :tears:

I have 1 more of clue 5 to make and 2 more of clue 6. Then I think I need to re-look at clue 1. I think they are a bit too small to match the sides of my octogons and have a feeling there is probably no way they can be blocked to accomdate. That is ok though, I'll just seam them together to make some pillow fronts. Unfortunately though, that means I'll need to re-do them.
