I could totally use a "catch up" week. The weather here in CT was way too nice last week to get very serious about crocheting. So I fell behind :tears:

I wish I had that problem. I was holed up at home all weekend madly finishing clue 6.
It's snowing here in Calgary, Canada. Still feels like afghan weather. :D

Clue 6. Variegated is all I had, don't think design looks good in it . Added extra row of beading, then for final round anchored it down by sl st into some of the beads. Also tried experiment to see if it looked neater to st into ch in last round instead of working over them, I think it does. Was not too creative with last round though, just used all hdc.

I just wanted everyone to know that it was done by Photobucket.
They probably have a way of blocking external links from their protected images.

If the person's account that you use the link from moves their photos around, it will also break that link. I've found that happens more often than Photobucket blocking it. My hint - if you find a smiley you like, copy the image to your own computer or Photobucket account and link from there.

This just goes to show what a neophyte I am  !!! I have no idea how to do anything you just discussed.
No pictures from me 'cause I haven't a digital camera except my phone and I can barely use that and haven't the slightest idea how to "send" them anywhere. Baby steps though are alright with me, just got this laptop for Xmas and haven't had a whole lot of time to play with it. But I LOVE seeing what you all are doing; keep those pictures coming. Some of you think they will give some " catch-up" time for blocking or whatever and maybe a week to have everyone guess at layout?? That will drive me nuts. I am NOT the most patient person when it comes to completing projects. I will get distracted and start about 3 other things in the meantime ... then drop those when I get back to this one... leaving me yet more semi complete projects. Does this sound familiar to anyone?  :hellogoodbye:

You should be fine with those amounts.

I got my skein of mc, sundrift in the mail today. Of course the dye lots don't agree and the new one is just a shade off from the original, :scared: so I think I will do the border with the new one and join the octagons and squares with the old one. I can't see the difference but my dad could and he has cataracts too. :idonno:

I think I figured out the layout using all the squares and octagons without any left over. But I'm not going to post the picture of my paper miniature octagons and squares. I made 1/2 size paper octagons and squares so I could get them all on the table at one time. I hope Wednesday we get the layout. Can't wait to see if I got it right!

Me too! I hope it is not a " catch-up" week next week! Ugh! I've had my clues done since last Thursday! I can understand the week off in the KAL to catch up because knitting takes longer... But please not in the CAl! I want to put it together!

Why are so many pictures not able to be viewed? I keep seeing this message on most of the posts:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Is it because they are posted by a certain program or site, and I don't have access because I don't belong to a group. or subscribe to it?

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

Here are mine. I've also had fun playing around with all of the pieces to try and figure out how they will all fit together.
