Which pattern are you referring to?
Is it a knitted or crocheted blanket?

I don't see anything on the Bernat website about a car seat blanket.

I have been following this thread because I got stuck on the same pattern. I finally gave up and marked that this was a great blanket stitch but did not finish the pattern. If it is the same one, it is Bernat Softee Baby Car Seat Blanket--I don't have a pattern number for it but did get it from the Bernat site. Hope this helps.

Thanks dcrozier!

I did a search on Google, and found the pattern that way. It's no longer searchable on the Bernat site.

I also found the Ravelry link for it: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... -blanket-3
16 Ravelry members have made it, so they can probably offer advice, if all else fails.

Thanks for the additional info. I did not know about Ravelry when I tried this so I might give it another go when I finish a couple of other projects. It looks really cute, but since my son is 30, I never know if something is practical or just cute. I have tried to picture putting a squirming child into it!!!!!!!!!

I bought yarn and start knitting the car seat blanket. After a few rows I decided to see what was written about it on the Ravelry site. After reading about how it is not safe to have a blanket between the child and the seat, I decided not to do it and ripped out what I had done. I just did't feel good about giving it to our grandson, or someone else's child. It was strongly suggested to just put a blanket over the front of the child. You just might want to read what is on the site before continuing with your car seat blanket.
