Crochet-Along Clue 6

Finished with this clue myself...not sure I like it, but again, I'll wait to see what it looks like put together before I make and decisions.

Hi all,

Don't know if anyone has posted on this--I just looked through and couldn't find anything. My Clue #6 was coming out "wavy" as were others from the pictures I saw in the spoiler thread. I just re-did round 8 using all dc's (no hdc's) and my motif turned out so much more octonagal (sp?). The eight sides are almost perfectly straight.

For any one wanting to try it, if you have fastened off already, I found that doing all dc's did not use any more yarn than mixing in the hdc's.

I have just finished my first two of clue six and wondered the same thing. I also wondered if there is going to be something interesting and unusual in the joining that I might want to leave those HD there. I think I am going to go ahead and do the HD and see what develops later--can always take out round eight later and do it all in DC.

This is what I was thinking too. Boy, it's hard to wait to find out.

So I was so excited, got Clue 6 all completed, and low and behold, I did them all in the same color instead of doing 4 in one color and 2 in the main color. Do you think it will matter or should I go ahead and do two more in the main color, and as instructed I can always do something with the "extra" two that I made.

I am so glad I saw this. I completed my 5th motif for clue 6 last night and so far they have all been in my B color. So thank you for stopping me from doing number 6 in B too.

Ugh - glad that work is picking up, but I've still got 2 more week 5 to do and 5 more week 6 to do and no energy to get to them.

Is it wrong to hope for a rainy weekend, so I won't have to work on helping to tear the barn down this weekend.

6 wouldn't be there right now even if it was up to date! Tomorrow it should be there.
I too like going to the official images, you know, just to make sure we all didn't follow the same mistakes!

I am behind now! I only have one motif of clue 6 done
I hope to get things done this week so I can catch up! Warmer weather and too many things to do outside, plus Momma Cat had 7 kittens and are they ever so cute! I have to ride husband's motorcycle to the shop for some work tomorrow! I guess I could take the crocheting along and do it there! Wouldn't that be a hoot!!! Pack the bag full of yarn and sit out on the bench and crochet!! Think I will try that, just to get some caught up! Looking forward to the next clue!!

Crocheting outside a motorcycle shop, too cool. I have a picture in my head of you on the cycle with backpack on, yarn trailing out & flying in the wind......it made me smile. Anyway enjoy your time crocheting wherever that may be

Not only am I wondering what this afghan will look like, my hubby (who is a math teacher) is trying to figure it out too. I just smile and nod when he goes into his math jargon, "...but squares and octogons don't tesselate..."

He likes to explain how it all works, I just like making "pretty stuff" with yarn and a hook!!
