Wow that's beautiful work!
I've often said that I want to learn needle point next. My hubby rolls his eyes. (I knit, crochet, rug hook and draw)
But, there just isn't enough hours in the day!

Kelly :knit:

I agree--they are beautiful and there are not enough hours in the day even with daylight savings time--too many other things to do besides crochet!!!

Well here's my most recent project. I actually haven't finished my clue 6, nor have I finished the orange mandala....i just picked up the yarn for that a couple of days ago, but silly things like corporate income tax kinda got in the way.

I just uploaded this pattern to Ravelry last night. (and, btw, if anyone finds it offensive, I won't be bothered if the mod's remove this post, or just the pic.)

btw, the pillow is the recent project. The throw on the back of the chair was 2010's xmas present for my mom. It's mine now since she passed away in November.

Hmm..what am I working on now?

I don't have pictures to post, but I'll explain. Seems I have to have about 5 things going at once to make sure I don't get bored. :idonno:

First I put aside the entrelac blanket I was working on for my sister's baby. I lost the excitement for it and found a different pattern that is working up better. Still using mint green and yellow. The entrelac might be pulled out and finished for a silent auction basket (same one this CAL is going to, just different basket).

I have also started my son's chess blanket. I started it but then didn't like the way the sc stitches looked when I changed to make the chess pieces, so I decided to do it as a Tunisian simple stitch instarsia. And since I didn't want the joined look in the back with the strips, I decided to do it Tunisian afghan style...all 150 stitches across at one time. YIKES. I can only do about two rows at a time before my wrists start to hurt.

And then (as if those weren't enough), I am making ruffle scarfs with the new ruffling yarn... and I'm using *gasp* knitting needles. LOL. I cannot knit, but this yarn makes it easy to use the "sticks". :)

thanx, donna. I'm very proud of that throw....it was a bear to make and keep track of directionality of each motif, and colors, but it worked up really well. it just took me a REALLY long time!

A friend started an informal CAL a month ago; we're doing one 12" square each week. I don't have a lot of stash yarn (!) so I bought Bernat Satin in Bordeaux, Grey Mist Heather and Stone. I wanted something deep and dark after all the beachy colours I chose for the Bernat CAL.

The thing is I'm all caught up in both CALs! Maybe I'll teach myself how to block this week just for something to do. :reading:

Oh, if anyone's interested in joining our little CAL, let me know and I'll send you the link to the blog. (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link here, and I figured I'd rather play it safe and not get kicked out of this awesome forum.)

No. I had trouble with the way they did the 9 patch grannies, so I did them my own way. At the time I completed this, I would have considered myself a beginner. It's alot of granny, with some basic variations. Have fun with the colorway. Let me know how you work it out. :hellogoodbye:
