But we did find a way to make them all fit! So now I'm eager to find out if I have the shape right. I haven't even tried to guess how to arrange all of the motifs yet. Not too much longer to wait - I hope!

I will be clearing my living room floor to start playing with all the pieces as soon as I finish the last couple of motifs for clue 6. So close to finished with them. If only I could ship my kids to my mom until this was over so I would have more time for both the CAL and KAL

He likes to explain how it all works, I just like making "pretty stuff" with yarn and a hook!!

He's right. They don't tessellate. This is one part that has left me wondering if we'll be having a very interesting shape along the edge, or if we're going to create a very unique border, or if maybe we're going to make some other shape to fill the edges or what.... :ugeek:

I will need to have finished edges. That's just the way I roll.

My DH told me I had to stop correcting grammar now that I was retired, but once a grammar nerd, always a grammar nerd!!!!

SavvySherri wrote:Ok, I give up. This is my first crochet project and I was fine up to Clue 6. No matter how hard I try, I cannot for the life of me get this clue right. The center bunches up like a cone, One was too big and another too small. I am thinking of doing Clue 2 again using the correct colors for Clue 6. Will this still work with the overall look of the afghan, I would hate to give up the whole project, just because of this Clue, and I know that with my record of finishing other projects (I have a lot of quilting and knitting UFOs) that I would just put this away and forget about it. I am determined to end up with a finished project. What do you think about using Clue 2 again?

Don't give up! I'll be making a video tonight, showing how to do Clue #6, one round at a time.

I read "A Wrinkle in Time" about 10 times when I was young. Love that book!

I really have fallen in love with Clue #6. Last night, I made 4 motifs with that clue.

My favorite part is the simple flower in the center. Reminds me of the flowers I used to draw when I was little. So, this blanket will be very special to me.

I loved "A Wrinkle in Time" when I was young. Now I'm trying to remember what age I read it at because I'm starting to think there are some books from my childhood that my 7 year old might be ready for.
