Crochet: carrying yarn FPDC/FPTC

Postby dogfoster » Thu Mar 29, 2012 11:29 am

Anyone know how to carry different color yarn behind these stitches, and anchor them down, ie. not leave long rows of unworked yarn? Let's say you have working yarn W, and dropped yarn, D. I have been wrapping W around hook getting ready to make stitch, inserting hook to back, wrapping around hook once D, going from back to front around stitch with hook, then finishing stitch off with W. Seems to be OK but tedious, wondering if anyone knows of an easier way? Thanks.
