Crochet - Mermaid Tears Purse CAL

At first I wasn't to happy not having a new clue 7 this week, but now I have a chance to finish the lining on the Mermaid Tears Purse. I really enjoy the Cal and all the extra things we get to do here. Thanks again Benat and Shandeh.

Thank you Tiffanna, Jcrochet, & karenarp. Karenarp - re: yarn - not sure what it was. Said 100% cotton on the store's sign for mill ends, but I think it is acrylic. Generic plastic bag - no identifying marks as to the manufacturer. Didn't look like anything I've seen before, but I'll be checking out AC Moore this weekend, so maybe I can find out from the store manager where it came from.

I absolutely love this! OMG I want! Any idea what yarn it was from the bin? Anything you recognize or think it might be? Have you seen it before with a wrapper on? I love love love the way the colours pop!

I just finished mine about a week ago. Whoever at Bernat wrote this pattern - you rock! It's one of the nicest and neatest ways to do the crocodile stitch I've seen (and there are several other methods I've tried). I decided to do mine in multi-colors (found 2 skeins of it in a mill-end bag at my local AC Moore craft store), but I might also make another one in purple, since that's my favorite color.

It reminds me of Bernat Mosaic in the Psychedelic colorway.

I made this purse with just a square of crocodile stitch folded in half and with long straps so it can be worn over the shoulder. It is for a friend who said she wanted a smaller Mermaid Tears Purse with a long strap so she can carry just a few things she needs on her Mexico vacation at the end of the month.

I love, love, love the smaller one with the long strap. I'm going to make one as a clutch in the fancy yarn. Don't ya just love all the ideas we get here. Love your work and great idea. Thanks..
