Bettas are great and lots of fun to watch. Any chance you might not be allergic to something like a goldendoodle?

I can't live with any furry or feathered animals. I've tried being around the ones that are supposed to be allergy-proof, but I still have breathing problems. My system is just very sensitive. I can be with animals for about an hour or so, but then the allergy and asthma kicks in. I'm okay with it really. It makes it easier to keep my house when it's just me here. Also, I can't afford veterinarian bills.

I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have a pet, since I've been around animals my entire life. But I know how difficult it is to live with allergies and asthma; my triggers are grass and tree pollen. Needless to say, my dog is a full-time indoor pet who doesn't get to roll around in the freshly mowed grass even though he tries.

I definitely understand the vet bills--that is where all our "spare" monthly money goes--we get to see a canine opthomologist in Atlanta on Monday. Fortunately, our girl is worth all the effort. What color is your betta?

My betta is a blend of red, blue, and purple. Really hard to describe. And photography doesn't capture all the colors very well. I still haven't named him. Sometimes, he's "Mr. Fishy" Other times, I call him "Finny". So, maybe he's "Mr. Finny Fishy?"

I like that name!!!!! The colors sound really pretty and very interesting. Watching fish is so relaxing--I know you enjoy him!!!

Yeah, he makes me smile. Today, I called him Mr. Fishy Poo. I sounded like a little girl. Ha!

Now you have me eyeing this big brandy snifter shaped vase and how a fish would look in it... and how my 3 cats would look up on the table trying to "play" with him. Guess he will swim in my imagination. Ever watch Disney's Fantasia- remember the scene with the two fish- one black, one gold; the music from Nutcracker Suite- Arabian Dance- always been one of my favorites.

My fish has lots of fins like that, but not as long. That Fantasia fish was amazing!

One of my all-time favorite movies--I watch it often!!!!! I have a beautiful Fantasia coffee mug that a friend gave me years ago and then the Disney store stopped carrying them--bummer.
