Hi: This is my first post. I finished the left border, attached it to my afghan, and draped it on the loveseat to admire it. My dog, Phoebe, jumped on the sofa and found a nice spot to take a nap.

Looks great! And your doggie is cute too! :)

I've knit about a foot and a half of the left border and mine is taking on a very soft cabling effect leaning to the right and rising above the seed stitch section. I like the look of it as it adds another dimension. Just wondering if those who posted their pictures intentionally flattened their border??? Perhaps I just knit looser and I should tighten up my tension a bit. The border is a beautiful touch for our afghans! I'm enjoying the pattern. KNIT ON!

Oh, I agree! It is beautiful. To me your :knit: :knit: photo looks the same as drdi's. Drdi, Beautiful work, I can't wait to see mine now. (still working on clue four) :knit: Nicely done! :bravo:

How did the hat turn out? Curious...

I hope mine turns out like this! Do you think it has anything to do with how the loops are turned for the ssk part? I haven't started the border yet, but watched the videos on the Clue page, and was trying to figure out why they were slipping those stitches twice - first to right needle then back to left. Yours looks like it's picking up a bit of a Shaker element thing going on, which will tie in nicely with those rib squares.

Oh, drdi, I'm so glad you posted! Your photo could be the cover photo for the published pattern directions! That just says it all - dogs know where comfort lies! Please tell what your colours are!

Hi Zhanie...Yes I agree that my border and Drdi's look the same. I was happy to see her post. I may just bring the needle size down one to get a look that is somewhere in between. I think it may match up with the squares a little better too. 8-)

Nope, the left border does not have the SSK instruction. I really think it is just a tension difference.
