Crochet-Along Week 7: Blanket Possibilities

Here's another possibility that I think I might like the best so far. But I might change it a tad and use both darker blues as a double combo across from each other instead of the one dark and one light combo.

What do you think?

That one is really unique and very interesting. I hope we are going to put some sort of stitching between the large motifs to really show how each is different.

Just bought T-pins at Walmart: box of 40 for $2.47. I can afford them at that price.

I meant to mention that I haven't blocked them yet.

I bought some T-pins today and wow are they expensive. 40 for $4.79. So I only bought two packages. One at 40% off coupon at JoAnnes.

I also noticed while puzzling around with my motifs, that one or two were two small. So I'll need to frog and crochet a little looser. Glad to have this week to do this kind of stuff!!!

I use quilting pins with the colored tops--they are easier on my fingers and easier for me to pull out. They are also cheaper than the T pins.

OK great! I have some of those as well so I'll use them too! That way I can block more.

I like both your designs - I was also working with a square idea and have something very similar. I love your choice of colour. I had such a hard time - in the end - blue/pink/brown/silver gray/cream.

can't figure how to upload the drawing I figured it out. Didn't scroll down far enough

I was up all last night trying to figure out the pattern. This is driving me nuts! When I saw your layout I was sure you had it until I counted, you have 25 squares there, don't you? Shouldn't it be 24?

Anyway, I do love your layout and since I happen to have an extra square from Clue 4, if I don't like the Bernat one, I'm stealing yours.

I counted a couple times and get 24. Steal away! But I'm sure the bernat design will be much better. I still haven't blocked yet, so I might try another variation or two and block afterwards. As I said, I do love a puzzle. Hee hee!

Glad you like it. You're right about 25 squares but I can do an extra if required.

Here's what I came up with, but I know it can't be it because I have a small motif leftover. So for what it's worth, here's my wrong guess. But I like the way it looks.
