What are YOU working on to pass the time?

Talk about the KAL/CAL in a general sense. Knitters and crocheters, get to know one another while discussing your choices of Bernat Waverly shades!

This is one of the reasons I joined the CAL. I have wanted to do this afghan for ages but had a real problem with doing motifs. It is an old Red Heart pattern called Grand Gardenias(they look more like Camellias to me). Of course I had to change it. The original was just flower squares that I thought was too heavy looking so I am checkerboarding with grannys. You can't tell but the dark rows in the granny are actually two shades of the green, the last two rows are lighter.

there are patterns out there to crochet the scarves, one of my co-workers learned to crochet making one a month ago!

No knitting or crochet for me today.
Our choir is performing several HUGE pieces tomorrow morning for Palm Sunday. Also, a brass quintet is performing. And our choir director handed me THREE organ pieces that I need to have ready to perform. Did I mention that he gave them to me on THURSDAY NIGHT???!!!!

Needless to say, I will be practicing for HOURS today. :rainy:

:rainy: Ugh! Just finished my first knitting project, and I hate it!

When I was practicing with wool yarn my tension was somewhat even with a few glitches. This dishcloth was terrible! I can see all the holes where my tension went super loose. That crocheted loop at the top was to hide a particularly huge stitch in the knitting. I think it was supposed to be square, but it so didn't turn out that way. Yuck! Thank goodness dishcloths don't have to be pretty to work effectively.

It looks lots better than what I could knit and it was great practice--love the pattern stitch!!!! The first thing I ever tried to knit, I left on the needle too long and had an entire row that bludged more than the rest. I pretty much stick with crochet now.

I've posted a few videos on YouTube of my playing.
Here's one I did with my keyboard for Christmas.

And here I am playing organ at my church during Holy Week a few years ago. Sound quality is bad on this one, because it was recorded with my old digital camera.

I agree about piano making fingers nimble. Same with typing. ;)

I think it looks GREAT! That's a wonderful accomplishment for a first knitting project! You did a PATTERN! Most people start out with simple garter stitch. I'm sure you learned a lot while working on this dishcloth.

an Entrelac blanket for my new niece due in April:

a granny square blanket for one of my extra daughters. Have 63 of these to piece together. I'm staring that process tonight:

How about everyone else?

Love Love Love :inlove: the entrelac blanket! Is there a freebie pattern lurking somewhere online?
