Satin Crochet Vest: placing stitch markers

Hello I would like some help please. I don't know why it is not clicking in my brain where to place the markers on Row 3. I went ahead and crocheted the row with exact amount of sts for this row, but like I said, I am unsure where to places the markers on the exact sts! Help Please-Thank You In Advance!

Looks like you will have a total of 8 markers, is that what you got?
Sometime you are putting markers to figure out where a sleeve or opening is going to go which is pretty easy to figure out without the markers. But these markers are for stitch count increases in subsequent rows too so you really need to do them. On the bottom of my pile of things I am making is a circular sweater pattern that didn't have so many markers as this pattern but it was for stitch increases. I was just using yarn for marker, and lo and behold one fell out along the way and it took me forever to try to figure out where it went. So my first suggestion is to make sure you use something, pin, clip, bobby pin, something that will not fall out! Where is says put marker, I usually do another stitch, then go back and mark the completed stitch that was indicated. If I try marking the stitch as I am making it, it doesn't look like it is placed in anything for me to identify as one stitch or another on the next row.
, but I get easily confused! So just follow the pattern and mark the stitches they indicate. Notice how you will need to mark stitches in every row after that.
3rd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first dc (inc made). 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. *2 dc in next dc, placing marker on last dc worked. 2 dc in next dc, placing marker on first dc worked.* 1 dc in each of next 8 (9-9) dc. Rep from * to *. 1 dc in each of next 31 (35-45) dc. Rep from * to *. 1 dc in each of next 8 (9-9) dc. Rep from * to *. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in last dc. Turn. 71 (77-87) dc.
4th row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first dc (inc made). *1 dc in each dc to next 2 marked dc. 2 dc in each of next 2 marked dc. Rep from * 3 times more. 1 dc in each dc to last dc. 2 dc in last dc. Turn. (10 dc inc).

For example they are not too helpful in telling you which stitches to mark in 4th row. But looks like pattern is marking the last dc of first 2dc and first dc of the second 2 dc., making sort a group of increases, and you should have 4 groups total of similar increases, at least until you get to the armholes. You are making a yoke for the top and these four sets of markers are for that. Looks like you are going to have to do about 14 rows till you get to the sleeves, so you can see one mismarked stitched grows and grows. One the other hand if only one or two get mismarked along the way I wouldn't worry about , it is dc so should be sort of stretchy, and a lot of it will be covered up with the pretty edging, esp. at top and front.

That is the way it looks to me though, I have not made this pattern.

You can get a better picture of what you are actually doing if you look at the photo of it from the back, you can see the yoke formation increases better in that photo.
