:hellogoodbye: Very nice afghan, jr15!! I really like the buttons on it!! It adds a very nice touch to the "quiltish" design!! It gives it more character! I might do that to mine too. Thanks for sharing! :crown:

Kikibatt wrote:for those of you who have started the border... Is it knitting up quickly? I will be finishing seaming today and plan to start the border at my knitting group this evening. But knowing I am on the eve of another clue I am wondering how long last weeks clue is going to take me to get caught up. Thanks!
p.s. rough estimations are fine I know we all knit at different speeds. I am just looking for if it is quick or a little slower b/c pattern requires a fair amount of attention (think week 3 six row repeat that kept throwing me for a personal loop!)

I don't think I am a fast knitter. It took me roughly about 8 to 10 minutes per 14 rows and I needed 22 repeat. So almost 4 hours per side ;) Hope this answer your questions. I wonder how others are doing?? :hrmm:

Ho ho! You are fast! It is taking me about 20 mins. per small square. But I watch TV, manage 3 kids' needs, the laundry, and talk to my husband all the while.....and I've had to rip out a few rows several times for forgetting to do the yo! and then my cats jump on my lap just when I get going again! Looking forward to some quiet Time alone without distraction tonight... Should get off this forum!

I remember you talking about putting buttons on your intersecting seams and was wondering if they'd be big or small, and flat or not. Looks nice - I like your using more than one colour of button, too!

Oh dear! I understand! :notworthy: I don't have any cats to play with my yarn, the kids are grown up and on their own, husband is working all day so my quiet time is during the day I can imagine with all those distractions it would take me much much longer than my 10 minutes ;)

Here's what I have finished so far. Still have four squares to knit. The colors are not true to life. Must be the lighting.
