Crochet-Along Week 7: Blanket Possibilities

I love seeing all the possibilities. Mine isn't quite right. It needs another small block. LOL or three. Here it is.
The colors are Bernat Super saver
MC-Taupe Heather, A-Plum Heather, B-Steel Blue Heather, C-Moss Heather, D-Rustic Heather
LOL- I didn't look at the names of the colors till now. I see a pattern here.
I can't wait to get moving again. Sorry for the shadow. had to use my phone camera.

Here's what I came up with, but I know it can't be it because I have a small motif leftover. So for what it's worth, here's my wrong guess. But I like the way it looks.

I like this layout. Used colours to approximate the ones I used. Not sure how I would arrange all of the different motifs we made with MC.

I am still trying to post a picture. I can't seem to get it to work. My design is to put all the MC around the edge. I have a "flower of octagons in the center with no square in the center. This space can be left open or some stitches such as chains can be put in to connect them.

Karen, I love your layout, and I think this is how my blanket will look like. I don't mind doing an extra small square since I have some leftover. Great job!

just wanted to post my photos of the CAL clue 3 and the difference your tension can make. I used the same H hook for both, on the light blue I looped the yarn over forefinger and around my pinkie and on the dark blue one just held the yarn over forefinger.

It looks like the lighter one has a dark border. I love the way it looks. Maybe you can just repeat the last round of the smaller one to get the right size.

Beautiful layouts. I couldn't wait for today to come. Now I am putting mine together. It's going to take a couple of days to complete, but posting, here I come.

Here's another possibility that I think I might like the best so far. But I might change it a tad and use both darker blues as a double combo across from each other instead of the one dark and one light combo.

I think it is gorgeous, First chance I get to scroll the pages for the blanket possibilities, since I am not sure as yet what layout I will do. Yours is tempting but I would remove the two little squares on each sides. Great job I like it very much
