Hello Everyone! I wanted to thank you all for your posts, tips, pictures and advice. It has kept me motivated and has encouraged me to keep going when I know I would have stopped at the 1st sign of difficulty. I am equally greatful for the week break. I only have 1 motif and a bit left for clue 6. I started a few weeks later than others and thanks to the positive and excited comments on this forum decided I wanted to be a part of this fun. I have learned many things about crocheting and it feels good! I have decided that I would learn how to post here and I am determined to get pics up too! Now, back to my last motifs!

I just finished seaming two rows together and somehow they're all mixed up :smashy: . I'll just redo, but please avoid the pain if you can.

That's one reason why I never weave in my ends until it's all put together. I have always, especially on anything done in the round, pulled my starting tail towards me to indicate the wrong side (I'm a lefty). The ending tail get woven in as I attach. Maybe this little idea will work for you next time.

Jen,
Can you tell us what color(s) we'll need for the border? It may help those of us who didn't do the 12" tail thing and want to seam with just 1 unifying color. Thanks.

What are we going to do with all this yarn left over? Surely this is not the whole afghan. I have almost entire skeins left of all of the colors with almost two left of the MC. I read about the using he main color for the border, but will we use the others too?

I have probably half a skein of the main color left (and one motif that was too small that I didn't rip out yet). I have LOADS of D left...I think I only needed to go into the 2nd skein for maybe 2 of those cute little popcorn motifs. Nearly a skein of A, B and C left.

Officially, we'll be recommending you use MC for the border, though you can change that if you would prefer a different color.

In order to complete the border with MC, you should have somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 of a ball left. If you're short, you may want to buy an extra ball.

Hurray! The official layout is here!

Can't wait to lay it out on the floor and see what it looks like. I enjoyed the challenge of coming up with various layouts this past week.

One more motif to block and then I can seem. :-)

Thanks Bernat ladies,

 Really? Glad we have permission to use our own designs! Considering the doily like, old fashioned nature of the motifs, it would seem to me that this finished piece should be somewhat symmetrical. I guess I am just old fashioned. This looks thrown together to me like having DaVinci detail in Paul Klee abstract. Even if the motifs were more substantial, like zillions of rows of nothing but dc, the pattern still does nothing for me. I have enjoyed making the motifs, but this whole project is on the back bottom burner for me. The motifs are too wispy for me , or anyone I know,to use as a coverlet. I have saved my lay out possibilities for afghan, which would entail making more motifs, but I was not joking about potential sweater layouts too, or maybe two shawls, whatever I can get out of the pieces that are already completed. And have one or two left for a cat mat.

I, too, have tons of yarn left over. I think I will be returning my unused skeins. Also looking forward to the border. LOVE the layout! I am behind in my motifs since I am trying to complete my daughter's granny square afghan made with scrap yarns. Thanks ladies - love the project! I am looking forward to the next one!
