WOW! :notworthy: I LOVE how your patterns look in contrasting colors. THAT really makes this design pop. I stuck with straight colors - this was my first CAL and I'm not great at following patterns, yet.

As a knitter who stopped by to see how the final crochet project looks, I'm amazed and all the details and color! Great work! :) :bravo:

All the colors look "warm" except for the mauve, which looks out of place to me. I bought lavender, since the room is mostly pink with accents of green and purple. The gold is the oddball, but looks good to me next to the other colors.

I also like the idea of moving clue #4 to the outside to break up some of the solid main color. I also moved the contrasting flower centers to the original flower, keeping them all one color. So far I think I like these two changes better...and even the mauve is starting to look better to me this way.

If you are using a different design, try printing it off and marking the seams as completed.
Oh well, back to seaming, can't wait to see it all together!

Great advice!

I think the changes that you made really made a difference to the look. While the mauve does stand out more, it does look good with the other shades of pink. And the gold is a good compliment to the green. Before you redo the whole thing, perhaps you can try just one square of the lavendar and see how that would look against the other colors.

This makes the blanket look completely different! :bravo: I love it and wish I had followed your lead to do contrasting color motifs. I'm not really in love with the official layout. What is bugging me most is the two clue 5 motifs beside each other. It throws the blanket off, I think...using contrasting colors makes that less noticeable.

Great job! You win my vote for best use of alterations to the clues. :)
