Thanks everyone for your suggestions about blocking borders or not.
I like the raised look as well but I think I might block a bit so it doesn't ripple too much.

I think that once it is sewed on to the afghan this will be much less of an issue for everyone. I am STILL on my first long border, believe it or not. So many times I forget to do the yo after the K2tog. and then I have to pick out 2-3 rows. Have been distracted/busy/tired/overworked..... I have lots of excuses! But looking forward to the nice loooooooooooooooong holiday weekend and plan to :knit: :knit: :knit: !

Me too. I thought I would finish first border last night, but I ended up picking out stitches at least 3 times because I forgot to add the yo, or else I knit instead of purled when you switch pattern at row 7! I have 3 small squares to knit yet and then I'm done. If I can't accomplish that today, I won't be much good for any other project!

It's done! :D I got the first long border done last night!! I really like the looks of it beside the afghan. Haven't started the 2nd border yet, but will soon.

I think we've got the same rhythm going, KnitKnacker! I just started my right side border this evening. The first one is attached now.

I am in a bit of a quandary. I love the individual colors I choose for my blanket; however, I am not sure I like the color combinations if each square and how it all laid out. I am trying to decide if I want to rip out half of them and switching the colors around. I have completed the side borders, but will wait to attach them until I figure out the color quandary.

Do you have any photos you could share? Maybe laying them out in a different arrangement will make it look better?
