I will have to make one more little square in the main color and I am not too sure about the little squares on the edges poking out. Oh well, I love the splashes of color all over it.

I love how my eyes dance around the colors and designs
in the 2nd layout !!!!!!! I also am not a big fan of color blocks.
As far as the little squares, you may try doing 1/2 squares in those spot and see how that looks and feels to you....GOOD JOB

So after playing around with my motifs, I think I am settled on this one. I'll figure out what to do with the other 2 at a later time!

Great layout! I also love your color choices. :bravo:

Thanks!

So far this is my favorite design. I too am a symmetrical person so the original design seemed a bit wonky to me. I still don't know if I can live with the design or not......all that work gone to waste though is a shame. :idonno:

Thanks! I think I will be happier with this layout. I'm also making 2 other CAL, Maybe I will try something different with those!

I LOVE yours! With the changes you made it makes the afghan. :bravo:

I've got 3 rows put together and it does look nicer once put together. Not something I would have chosen had I seen it first but I am sure it will be lovely in the end. Now to get back to sewing these things together.

I LOVE what you've done with the colors! It pulls the whole thing together BEAUTIFULLY! ALMOST makes me want to frog all mine and start again. OK, not really, but I love this! :inlove:

:bravo: daverett, I agree with others... This looks amazing! Making the motifs multi-colored brings everything together so much better than the single color motifs (in my opinion). This is my first "mystery" CAL and I'm sure I never would have thought to "stray" from the original design. I'm so glad you did. :D As far as clue 5 goes... I think yours looks great the way it is but now you have me seeing things differently so I'm curious how your "re-do" would look. Maybe you should try it and let us help you decide. All kidding aside... FANTASTIC job!! :notworthy:

I love your multicolored squares....I really wish Bernat would have done this. It is so much better than the solid ones. Great job :bravo:

I'm considering seaming it all with color D so that it's visible. Maybe with a raised SC along every seam. I'm wondering if that would tie them all in together better.

Has anyone played with the seams, yet?
