I believe I may try and tackle this pattern when the weather cools back down this fall. It's truly lovely and your work is beautiful!!!!

I have been admiring this pattern for awhile. Can't wait to see needlenut's finished photo...according to the posts so far, one should be forthcoming very soon! Maybe some of us could "get together" at about the same time this fall and give it a go if there isn't a KAL mystery project going on. Mid September to mid November sounds good to me. Gardens will be winding down, school will have started, and there will be enough finishing time before the holiday season whips into gear.

My stepping waves afghan is done! I started it on Friday, February 10th and finished it up Wednesday, April 4th. Just 2 days shy of 8 weeks from start to finish. Not bad, considering I am still working a 40 hour week away from home. The end result was well worth it. I am so pleased with the Waverly for Bernat yarn. It is a pleasure to work with, so soft! Kudos to the Bernat design team for the pattern, too. Here are some pictures for all of my new yarn buddies. I have really enjoyed sharing this project with you all and hope that I have inspired some of you to try it for yourselves. Happy knitting!

Just gorgeous and I know how soft the yarn is. I want to do this in the exact same colours! Congratulations! It looks nice and big enough to cover you up quite well! I work full time too and know how precious those snatched few minutes or hours during off time are!

This is stunning needlenut. I adore your colour choices, it really makes the waves come alive. I really really want to make this, so maybe in the fall my hand will be all better and I can pick up my knitting needles with the others that want to make this then. Was told when you damage a nerve it takes about a day to heal 1 mm - measure the distance from the damage to the brain in mm's and that is how many days it will take to heal.

About how many minutes per night would you say you spent on this? Keeping us updated on your progress has been totally inspiring to me. Thank you for the extra time you spent updating us

:bravo: This is a beautiful afghan. I love the pattern. I did learn from this. I have a problem with keeping the pattern going without making a mistake somewhere along the line. I noticed in your first picture that you used stitch markers. So, I decided to try that on one that I am making for my granddaughter. I started over and used the markers. So far, it has made it easier for me to follow the directions and not make a mistake. Thank you. :notworthy:

Beautiful!!

My dd asked if I could make her an afghan and she wants it made in the Waverly. She loves how soft my KAL blanket is.

I am thinking that I will go with the Princess, as my 3rd colour.
