 I am weeks behind! I hope these clues will be available for a while. I do have a very good excuse though. My son was born on march 13! I haven't had one second to knit or crochet!

Oh, my, yes! You DO have a very good excuse! How precious! Congratulations! :bravo: You know, you could go ahead and print out all of the patterns now so that you'll have them all together.

Congratulations cmk! Don't worry there will be plenty of time to knit or crochet when your son is 18 years old...just kidding! Enjoy your newborn and take care of yourself too.

Don't worry about being behind - you're definitely not the only one. Congratulations on your baby boy!

Sweet! A little baby boy! :cloud9:

I agree with KnitKnacker1234. Print out the clues, and keep them together for later.

Am working on the side borders. Have really enjoyed my first KAL & can hardly wait for the next one. May just try my hand at the CAL!

I'll be ready to start the top/bottom edges later this am. Has anyone had any problems picking up stitches? Any hints, other than what Bernat has posted? Yet another new technique to learn. This KAL has been a great learning process with lots of support from everyone. :knit:

That's the one and only way to pick up stitches. I used to wish there was another way, but alas...no such luck. It gets easier as you do it, and it won't be a problem anymore.

I had a nightmare experience with picking up stitches once, while making a project for the Bernat blog. If you're bored, and want to read my little story, it's right here: http://blog.bernat.com/2010/04/29/troub ... -stitches/

The Bernat video is very good to follow and like Shandeh said it's really the only way. My only suggestion would be to take your time with it because it is the foundation of your top and bottom borders and the neater you pick up the stitches the nicer it will look. Good luck...I'm sure you'll do fine once you see how easy it is to do! ;)

Oh, and loved your story, Shandeh! :P
