I love that sweater too! But, it wasn't my first sweater.
Here's a photo of the lacy lavender one, though...so others can see what we're talking about.

This is the first sweater I ever knit, back in 2006.

That's a wonderful project!

Wow, so pretty!!! You do fantastic work, Shandeh.

I'd love to say which Bernat yarn I like best, but our stores here locally, don't carry much of the Bernat line. I know they have baby yarn, but I haven't used it yet. Just recently got back to crocheting. Not sure if they carry any of the other yarns, but I know they don't have satin or super save or the cotton yarn. :-(

So really the only yarn I've tried so far is the waverly for the CAL. I had to order it from Joannes.

I like to touch and feel yarn before I buy it, don't you?

Thanks for the love!
I've gotten bolder about trying new yarns before I see them in person (in yarn?) :?
Since I started working for Bernat in 2009, I think I've tried every yarn they've made. They have all been soft and easy to work with. So, I would recommend trying them out.

My favorite Bernat Yarn is Satin. I have crocheted a bolero, several scarves, and a prayer shawl out of it. It is so silky and easy to work with. I also like Satin Sport. Now that I am participating in the Mystery Afghan Crochet-A-Long, I also like Waverly. I like the fact that there are so many different colors in these yarns. The only problem is that stores in my area don't carry all the colors nor enough in one color to do a large project.

Have you tried asking staff/store manager if they have more in stock in back? Many times a store will not put out everything they have due to shelving limits but may have boxes of it out back. Other than that I have no ideas! Well maybe one more, you could let them know you would be interested in buying more yarn there if they would stock more.

I'm new to this forum, but I've been using Bernat yarns & patterns for a few years and I'm a big fan! I'm currently on a long cycle of using Baby Coordinates for almost every single baby thing I make. I just love the way projects turn out with it--cute and cuddly! (Right now, baby sweaters and hats for a Crisis Pregnancy Center.)

Sweet! I love how Baby Coordinates works up as well. Make soft, cuddly blankets. And it looks like spun candy!

I like to use it for making little hats for the hospital.
