The only thing I wish I'd changed is made contrast D the rose color instead of contrast C. I think it would have made a better accent to the rest of the pattern than the way it ended up....but I still like it.

Thanks! I must admit, I wasn't too sure when I first saw the layout but it's definitely growing on me. The border will bring it together even more and definitely give it that "finished" look (well, that was my experience with the 2010 CAL).

I am so amazed! I pieced my afghan together in about four hours! I made a slight change to the layout an placed my Color D around the border. I really like it now. Here is how it turned out. Now on to my daughters that I made with stash yarn that she picked out! Pics to follow later.

For the 2012 CAL I made a baby blanket using the first three clues. I used Bernat Softee Baby in Soft Lilac and Bernat Baby Coordinates in Soft Mauve for a monochromatic blanket. When it came to assembling it, I decided to use a braid stitch in white for a bit of contrast. As far as edging rounds, that has yet to be decided. Maybe white with a row of Soft Lilac in it.

Since I made two afghans in the 2010 CAL, there was no need to make a full-size afghan in this CAL. This shows one of my 2010 CAL afghans + pillow with the 2012 CAL baby blanket.

I love your baby blanket! The choice of colors was wonderful and I love how you used the white for contrast. Great job!

Well .. must admit I had fun doing this but at the same time I'm really disappointed in the results. It just doesn't look the way I would like it to look. That said, it will still keep someone warm on a chilly night in front of the tv.
