Thank you everybody for all your encouragement! It Will keep me going through the long right side border. Funnily enough, I'm not having to pick out so much of this one. My brain must be appreciating the sequencing of this one better. I took a nap on the couch this afternoon with my afghan and it was just nice and warm - not too much, and oh so soft, and I loved running my fingers over the different textures. :cloud9: I have à feeling this will become my favourite nap accessory! :inlove:

I thought it was just me but I also found the second side border went very quickly compared to the first. You'll also be happy to know that once you pick up your stitches for the top and bottom border the knitting went even quicker...about ten minutes per row. You'll be done in no time! :cloud9:

Zhanie, I must say that I don't agree with you when you say your colours are not so much. I saw your photo yesterday and keep going back to look at it. It reminds me of lighthouses and the ocean. I love your red star and the other softer colours surrounding it. The bit of navy is as strong as the red and when you get your borders going you'll see how it will all pull together. We vacationed in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont last summer (and we go pretty regularly) and these are the colours you see on the East Coast. I couldn't say for the west coast. Have been to downtown Vancouver several times and Nanaimo but have never really seen the Coast.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and compliments! I like my colours so much more now that it is sewn together and the border will just finish it off. I am actually quite proud! I know what you mean about the navel influence. I can see that now too. I have to visit the east coast one day; it looks beautiful. I live near Vancouver and you are right, it's different.
