When I was at the Listowell store last week I noticed they had Scrubby yarn there, but it was under the Sugar & Cream label, not Bernat Handicrafter.
It was in an identical package, with the Brand name changed

LuckyRainbow, I saw some of the Scrubby yarn at our Micheal's here in CT, it was on an end cap pretty much hidden. It wasn't the Bernat label though, it was the Sugar & Cream label. Here's hoping it finds it way to a store near you soon!! :hellogoodbye:

It was a flower, crocheted, the centre was made using the new Handicrafter Scrubby yarn and the rest was made using regular Handicrafter Cotton. This was such an awesome idea on how to use the new Scrubby yarn. I was so disappointed and surprised they did not have a leaflet!
I have looked on Bernat and so far they don't even list Scrubby as something they carry, so they don't even have the pattern yet.

I just saw your post. I picked up a small soft covered book at Michael's the other day. I talked about it under General Knit and Crochet. Click on "pot Scrubber". I have given the name of the book and a list of items that are made with Lily Sugar'n Cream and Scrubby yarn. I hope you can locate the book. It is full of good ideas!

I finally found some of the Lily Sugar and Cream Scrubby at my local Michaels. Most of the colors were sold out but I did pick up one each of the green and pink. From the pics I have seen of the Bernat, this is a bit different. It only has loopy things on one side of the ribbon. At least, now I am getting to try it out.

It is fairly easy to work with. I am crocheting a striped dishcloth using the Sweet baby blanket pattern (#240) as the fabric. I am switching colors every two rows and carrying yarn between color changes. I will post pics as soon as I complete it.

Here is the completed dishcloth. It is about 10 in. square. It is very thick and a bit scratchy. I have not tested it yet for absorbancy or scrubability, but I think it willl be both.

I when it my local Michaels here in Ontario just this pass Sat. to pick up some more of the cotton scrubby and not only found it on sale but also marked as a clearance item. Also forget trying to get any waverly as they cleared that out as well.
