That's the one and only way to pick up stitches. I used to wish there was another way, but alas...no such luck. It gets easier as you do it, and it won't be a problem anymore.

I had a nightmare experience with picking up stitches once, while making a project for the Bernat blog. If you're bored, and want to read my little story, it's right here: http://blog.bernat.com/2010/04/29/troub ... -stitches/

I did it! Piece of cake. Thanks for sharing your experience. Fear of the unknown was worse than reality.
:bravo: I have finished the top border, tomorrow the bottom

About to start this clue. Going to watch the video again. It doesn't look too difficult :)

Hurray! I am done. It has been a real experience on not knowing what something is going to look like when you are done.

Congratulations! I sometimes wish that I could participate in one of our mystery-alongs without knowing the final product ahead of time. I'm sure it's very fun/confusing/exciting/etc.

I was able to pick up the stitches. I appreciate that Bernat said x number for each square.

I am frustrated though that I messed up the cast off in the first quarter but of course didn't find that out until the last stitch. I will spend this morning fixing it :knit:
