Hi Shandeh...I see that we have to create an account with Yahoo in order to post our finished afghan on Flickr. By doing this it appears that you are also creating a Yahoo email account. Is this correct? I really don't want an email account with Yahoo. Is there any way around this?

egads every time I go to anything Yahooish it makes me log in, as if the program has no idea how to remember how to know I am already signed in! Why have that 'remember me' button if they refuse to use it! I have never used flickker before but I guess now is as good a time as any. If only it were not owned by yahoo
OK, so now to figure out how to use it.
Marilyn, as far as I know I have never had an yahoo mail, I refuse all things extra with yahoo and google. both companies delete my accounts if I don't remember to use them for a few months, which is often in the last 10(?) years! (no idea how long they have been companies)

You can create a Yahoo account, create a Yahoo email but then never use the email. You do need to log into Yahoo occasionally to avoid having the account deleted. I'm not sure how long that is.

I manage a Yahoo group and people join and make the mistake of listing their new Yahoo acct as their email then never get anything and the acct closes. If you join a group, be sure to have mail sent to your normal email, not Yahoo's, unless you want to become a Yahoo emailer.

Wondering why people have to go through all these changes to post their blanket photos on a Flickr account anyway. What's wrong with just posting them on the Bernat Forum? If the pix have to go to Flickr for some peculiar reason, then maybe the Mods could do it if you e-mailed the the photo. Else just start Topic with one photo per person and their name, that's it. All the comments can go on the topics that are already listed.

Posting photos of our completed blankets on Flickr is entirely optional. Just wanted to offer the link to those of us who have a Flickr account.

i think one place where we can see ALL of the pictures and the names of their creators is a very very useful idea. I'm slammed with work right now and do not have time to wade thru' all the pages of forums, especially when my internet is being irksome and taking forever to load pages sometimes.

However, I don't have flickr and don't really want another password to remember (I already have a 3 page spreadsheet that keeps track of all the ones I do have between personal and our business). If someone would be so kind as to make sure all the finished blankets are up there (I would have done it a month ago, before business picked up and I've been unable to be on the forums much), it would make voting and making nominations MUCH less overwhelming.

my $.02 worth. :)
