Stupid cancer

Postby Shichemell » Wed Apr 11, 2012 9:47 am

I just found out last night that my dad's got prostate cancer. I know that there are many of us on here with loved ones that have cancer, so I just wanted to send everyone a really big
Now we just have to cross our fingers and remember the power of positive thinking.

Shichemell, I am so sorry to read about your Dad and the prostate cancer. There are different treatment options which depend on how advanced it is, how old he is, etc., etc., but I hope he gets to make an informed decision about his treatment. Think that will help immensely with the positive thinking!

My Grandfather had that when he was about 78-80? He is 85 now and cancer free for several years, think he celebrated some milestone recently? I honestly don't know, since he beat it we don't discuss it often any more. My ex also had that when he was only about 35 and he too beat it. Positive thinking! Chin up! (((((hugs)))))

Keep your hopes up. It can be beat. I have three neighbors who all had different stages of prostate cancer and they are all still going strong. I know Mr. Andy had his 13 years ago because we were both undergoing treatments at the same time.
Hint: If you feel the need to vent and rant, the car is a great place to do it. Pull over in a park or even a parking lot, away from other cars and have a screaming, raging, yelling hissy fit...it helps. I did it alot when I was going throught chemo.
