The border is on, the photos have been taken, I am done!!
Thank you so much for hosting this. I feel stronger, more confident as a crocheter now with all the different stitches and things I have learned along the way. Thank you!
I got bored of taking the photo as a rectangle, so tried to get creative. Let me tell you, an iPhone does not take artistic photos! At least it takes decent photos!

That looks beautiful, congratulations! :bravo:

If someone is looking to see what the afghan looks like, there should be a picture of the afghan. If people don't want to know, then they wouldn't click on it.

Here is my finished afghan. May take two posts to post my pictures. Took about 4 or 5 of them. Two on the bed and 3 on the couch.

*blush*
Thank you!

Well, I offered this up to my daughter and she turned it down, which I knew she would do when I saw clue 2 and 6. But that was why I felt so strongly about finding other octagons to replace those two clues for my second afghan. Now I am confident I made the right decision and will try and get it completed before the end of the month. I still have about 10 motifs to make. I will also use an alternate design. This first one that I ended up following to a 'T' will go into the next wedding or big gift needed box and hopefully my daughter will prefer the second one so she can lay claim to it.
I also showed her one! She told me a few weeks ago I would never finish this (I have never finished a project that was more than one piece before) so I showed her one! I finished!
So, off to finish second CAL, and I need to try and knit a tidge everyday and eventually that KAL will also get done. Maybe by Christmas!

I am thrilled to death I have a finished gift for a mystery event yet to happen!!

Neither of these pictures are very good but... I think you can, at least, see the border (against the contrasting colors). I'm going to keep additional border options open, until I see what some of you creative people come up with. ;)

I had a GREAT time with this CAL. It was my first "mystery" CAL and I am pretty sure I'm addicted. :inlove: I was so excited to get a new clue every week. I think I blabbed about it to everyone. Even my non-crocheting family and friends would ask me, "do you have this week's clue yet?" or "are you working on this week's clue?". My 12 year old daughter was going to work this CAL with me but, she's still at the age (or stage) where she needs instant gratification with her crochet projects. Hopefully she'll be able to join me on the next one.

Many thanks to Bernat for hosting this CAL!!! :bravo: And many thanks to all the crocheters who were so willing to help and support! :notworthy:
