Oh My! I remember that afghan. I've been buying Woman's Day for a long time. (It seems like it might have been on the cover, but can't remember exactly) I thought it was so beautiful, that I tore that page out as one of the things I wanted to do someday. At the time, since it was purchased as a kit, I never could afford it, so it just stayed in my collection of "Someday Projects!"

And the funny thing is that I was thinking that a border made up of a row of each of the blanket colors either in single or double crochet, with a final row of the main (or contrast) color in reverse single crochet would be a really nice border for this CAL (Or a row of double crocket and then shells along the edge, to kind of repeat the overall theme of the blanket). I have to play with my borders sometimes to see what seems to work best with the overall appearance of the blanket.
