Crochet Along: Finished Blanket Photos

Here is mine. I did first round of the border as given, two rounds of seed stitch, and then a round of 2 hdc in each chain space of the previous round. I don't love my border, but I am tired of working on this so it will stay like it is.

Here is my finished afghan. May take two posts to post my pictures. Took about 4 or 5 of them. Two on the bed and 3 on the couch.

My blanket is currently in 'timeout' for the week, but this weekend I'll pull it out and finish it.

OK, my Mom passed away after a short illness and I have used this CAL to pass the time while I stayed at a very special cousins house........This afghan will always bring me memories of my Mom's final days and the adventure I had staying and re-uniting with a cousin that was such a good friend of mine when I was younger and saying goodbye to my Mom! Thank you!!

Here's my finished project with the official edging. I'm considering a couple of different options for the edge, though; I think I'll try adding some color. Hey, if I don't like it at least I can frog it back to this point, right?

I posted my finished afghan on my fb account, this is the first time any one there saw what I have been doing for the last few months. Other than my husband and daughter no one I knew I was making this. The compliments I am getting are very reassuring.

I am so disappointed!!!! Not with the afghan, but with myself.........discovered I had crocheted the border on just the 3 rows that I had assembled. Haste makes waste!!
