I used an alternate border as SC around is super boring

I really love your colors and the border is great!! Looks much fancier then the single crotchet. I should have waited and got some ideas, but I went along with the single and it looks okay.

I did do the single crochet round first and then the second and third rounds from the linked border pattern, although I did only do 12 stitches per side instead of 13 so I don't know if it would work out right, depends on how many stitches that adds

This is really funny . We had that same couch until a few years ago and I am using similar (but not exact) colors for a different couch. Your afghan looks beautiful! :bravo:

I really like this border. It does a great job of softening the edges! :bravo:

I was playing with options for my border last night. I tried a simple shell stitch, block edging, and a "ladder" stitch (that's what I'm calling it).

The block edging was nice, but I think it turned out too big for this project and it's really not my style.

The shell stitch seemed like it was too heavy for our very frilly blankets imho.

I seem to have run out of attachment space! To be continued!

Continuation:

Then I tried the ladder stitch - which I like very much - it's airy, yet simple. It adds something to the blanket but lets the beautiful motifs stand for themselves.

Then I added an accent row to the outside of the white ladder border. I am in love. :cloud9:

I like this border a lot. I've been unhappy with the uneven edges on this afghan, but this border actually makes that work much better for me.
