How long did it take to make? I am having second thoughts because I have a shoulder injury which has worsened from the KAL and CAL! I'm taking a few days off right now, but I really want to finish the KAL border :rainy:  You should hear the conversations I have with my husband: Me : just 14 rows and then I'll stop and rest my arm. Him: no, once you start you just keep going! You can't handle only 14 rows!

lol too funny! I think I finished it in a week or two. This was at an average of knitting about a ball a night. It was crunch time by the time I got to working on this project, so I didn't have a big window of time to knit it. Happy knitting and I hope you shoulder doesn't give you too much trouble. :knit:

I'm going to start the Chunky Cable Blanket today. I have bought 10 balls of Bernat Softee Chunky yarn in soft taupe. I need thirteen but ten was all they had. I also bought a size 6mm 80 cm circular knitting needle. Here we go! my second ever knitted blanket :cloud9: :knit: finishing the KAL has given me confidence that I will get this done.

I am so glad I decided to make this Bernat chunky cable blanket. I am using Bernat softee chunky in soft taupe. After the KAL this blanket is a breeze! It knits up fast and I think it will be a very cozy warm blanket when it's done. My favourite part is the big gaps between cables, it makes the design look large and easy on the eyes! ( If that makes any sense at all! ) I love it! :inlove: :knit
