If anyone is still having problems with pick up and knit, I do have one tip. I sometimes use a crochet hook to pick up the stitch, then transfer to the knitting needle. It helps me pick up the stitches faster, especially with smaller gauge works. I doubt I will need to use it for this project though.

Have the top and bottom borders done so blanket is done. Still have one full ball of main colour untouched along with up to half a ball of the other colours. Think they will get turn into a premmie blanket for sick kids in Toronto

My afghan is done! Very relieved that I made it, because I really don't like sewing the squares together and the side borders on. I'm not crazy about my color choices either. I liked them together when they were in skeins, but not so much in this afghan design. So I'm not sure if I'll bother to post a picture of it. I love the Waverly yarn! So I love cuddling up in it on the couch to take a nap, or just to get warmed up! :cloud9: I really appreciate Bernat for doing this mystery KAL. It was fun, and I might do it again next year. Another thing that I've really enjoyed is the forums! This was my first KAL and my first time to ever take part in a forum. It's been lots of fun!! :hellogoodbye:

Yes, Kikibatt, I felt that way too; after seeing the colors that some others chose I wished I had chosen differently too. Oh well, live and learn. :) Thanks for your kindness! I probably will try to post a picture of it, but it will have to wait until my son and/or husband can help me. I've never done anything like that before, and even following the directions of a tutorial, I'm not sure I'd understand. So...eventually I'll try to get one on. Thanks again!

I love my blanket too! It feels lovely. I am almost finished my second border. I am going to ask (or bribe) my daughter to sew it on for me so I protect my shoulder. And then I'm almost done! so excited, it really has far exceeded my expectations, a simply beautiful pattern!!!! bravo Bernat :bravo:
