I did the official layout but it didn't work (like I thought it might not), and then arranged it with the "flowers" all in a row. That worked great....now to make 5 more motifs to finish out the afghan and start seaming it together. Sorry for the "dark" pictures...it was hard photographing the afghan on my four-poster bed and my "helper" was helping too.
I was a bit surprised that she did not rearrange the motifs for me.

Love your colors! The layout looks great too. I am working on my first one now, made a couple of adjustments but keeping to the original design for the most part. For my other two I think I will switch it up, but not sure how yet.
Seeing all the ideas has given me some inspiration...

europa66 wrote:Ok, I officially cannot decide. I would love some input from you folks.
Here are my 3 options.
The second one I stole (borrowed sounds much nicer, but let's call it what it is) from tjwjlove - aka "the stained glass" one. I would replace the 3 coloured Clue #1's with the white.
The long narrow one is a variation of that...bed scarf style. It's hard to see, but the sides taper down to a point.
And of course, the official layout.
I tried daverett's patterned granny to test also. Ahhhhh so many possibilites. My biggest thing is to try to kill some of the blankness of the mc. It is such a creamy-yellowy white that it almost looks dirty to me.
I like the third one, if this is the room where it belongs, I like the way the blue stands out in the middle and complements the wall colour![]()
Please help, guys and dolls!

I like the 'stained glass' version also!! It is the layout I 'borrowed'from tjwjlove. Still have to decide on the border, I like the seed stitch. I have used that pattern before & always liked the outcome. Good luck with your decision. I had 3 layouts on my living room floor before dear hubby pleaded with me to pick one & get on with it.
Ok I am editing what I just wrote (really should read all posts before giving my '2 cents' worth. The bed scarf will be a lovely piece. Best of luck, remember, crocheting is a fun & relaxing hobby!
If wishes were horses, beggers would ride...

hookedoncrochet wrote::bravo: Finally finished seaming blanket...WOOHOO!! Worst part of this whole experience. I am so glad that it's almost finished. I was soooo tempted to put aside in favor of other projects.
I also had to include a photo of my helper. He assisted in testing out the softness of the yarn.
Will do my border later...off to enjoy some of this spring weather....should have been out a long time ago but I wanted to finish this seaming.
