Knit-Along Clue 5 (Week 6): Spoilers and Photos

After trying lots of different ideas, I've decided to go with the Bernat layout. I wasn't going to block because I never have before, but I'm kind of obsessive about matching my corners (my seam ripper and I are best friends when I quilt!) so I definitely will be blocking. I started the border today, it will be the yellow that's in the middle. My boyfriend and mom love the colors and design, so it's a hit! Time to get blocking!

Thank you! It must be our color schemes, because other afghans with the pinwheel center seem to work very nicely.

It's taken me awhile to post a picture of my blanket in its sewn-together stage. The lighting's a bit off, but the idea is there. I intended to use the pinwheel center, but when I put it altogether, the blanket looked less busy with a center diamond instead.

What a lovely blanket! Nice, soothing, warm colors.

Thanks! I wasn't sure about them at first, but now that they're sewn together they've definitely grown on me. I'm looking forward to getting the border sewn on. Just about 4 more inches on the right border and I'll be there.

finally done with all of my squares!

i have a few more to finish blocking, but let the seaming begin! i'm really hoping i can get the seaming and borders done in time to enter the drawing.

Congrats on getting all the squares done!! That would be great if you could get your afghan done in time for the contests, because I love your colors and I think your afghan is beautiful! Good luck to you!!
