I'm so glad that all my sewing together for this afghan is done! Woohoo!! :crown: Now...off to the end borders! I don't mind picking up stitches to knit. I can't wait to see it all done! Very excited! :cloud9:

I spent All day Sat. seaming my squares together. 7:30 am til 10:30 pm with lunch and supper breaks. I am so glad that is done! Now to finish my border. Question - what colors do I use to sew a cream border onto dark brown, tan, and blue squares? should I use the cream or change colors as the sqaures change.?

I would probably use the cream yarn to seam it on.

Confusion

Postby wendyg » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:35 am

I'm lagging behind. Just finished sewing my squares together. Will now sew my side edges on. I see the instruction for adding the top and bottom edging but don't understand 2 things: (1) in clue 7 it says "this isn't your final step, but I don't see anymore. The last instruction I see is adding top and bottom, and (2) in clue 7 what does "DO NOT JOIN " mean?
I hope I see a reply!

(2) When you pick up stitches to add the border when you go to work on row 1 just make sure to not suddenly make your project into a tube! If you join that is what you will have. The instructions are only trying to remind you to pretend you are knitting on straight needles and not using circulars.
As for your other issues sorry I cannot help since I am not that far yet.
