i just finished my mermaid tears purse. but still not clear about the handle..so i made my own handle..

I've never lined a purse before, because I've always made felted purses. But I think it would be easy if you have some sewing experience. I bet you could find a purse lining tutorial on the internet!

That's what I did! I checked on-line for ideas when I lined a little crocodile change purse that I made. I bought some quilting material with a cute design, hand sewed a pouch inside out, turned it around then hand sewed the bottom to the bottom of the purse and turned the edge over as I stitched near the top. I even sewed on a zipper because someone wrote in their blog that they like the hand sewn look! I haven't lined my Mermaid Tears Purses yet (if ever) though, and they have been used a few times. I have had some very lovely compliments for my purses!

Here's my version! Added plastic handles (on sale at Joanne's for $2!) and subtracted the flower. I think I may put in a lining too--change will surely slip through those big mermaid tear holes.

When I first got this pattern, I was able to see a video where the whole thing was shown....I am a beginner crocheter but I like to push my limits...the video was essential and I can't find it!!!!
