On my first lace project someone suggested I try the "Life LIne" technique. Handy in lace pattern or with repeat patterns in case you need to take out your work for an error. Easy to take down to the life line and get the stitches back on the needle without loosing any. Here is a YouTube that explains it. Especially helpful for beginners of lace work or pattern repeats.

Love that video by my friend Amy Finlay! She's such a smart knitter.
And a lifeline is an AWESOME way to feel more secure with your lace knitting.

I've only used the life line technique on straight knitting. Are there any special things to know if using it on DPNs? Thanks.

I would imagine that it would be good to keep the lifeline flowing LOOSELY, so it doesn't draw in the project.

I'm excited to make this beautiful hat! And am so glad it uses just one skein. I even have some in my closet so it won't cost me anything to make and my granddaughter will love it. I have knit in the round for simple hats so hope this goes well too!

:knit: Shandeh. I decided to do the Slouchy Lace Hat. I don't usually knit. I'm not very good at it. I have tried and only do samples. I have never done a whole project. I thought with your help I couldn't go wrong. I was right. You have helped me soooo much with the Video's. I didn't think I would even be able to start it, but I did. What would I do without all your help. I has been a pleasure having you help us thru all these projects. I have learned a lot. This was my 1st Mystery CAL and I loved doing it. Thanks for all your support and help. :crown: Image

Last night, I uploaded a video, showing how to work Round 6 in our pattern.

In the video, I discuss working in the round, while following the charted lace design.
