europa66 wrote:Ok, I officially cannot decide. I would love some input from you folks.

Here are my 3 options.

The second one I stole (borrowed sounds much nicer, but let's call it what it is) from tjwjlove - aka "the stained glass" one. I would replace the 3 coloured Clue #1's with the white.

The long narrow one is a variation of that...bed scarf style. It's hard to see, but the sides taper down to a point.

And of course, the official layout.

I tried daverett's patterned granny to test also. Ahhhhh so many possibilites. My biggest thing is to try to kill some of the blankness of the mc. It is such a creamy-yellowy white that it almost looks dirty to me.

Please help, guys and dolls!

Did you decide which you wanted to do? Because your bed scarf style has me sold!! :inlove: I just need to make a few more clue 1 squares in the main color to supplement. Love this! Thanks for the idea! It will drape over the spare bed... lovely! Thank you! :cloud9:

I finally got my layout for my 2nd CAL afghan drawn out. Will start seaming it tomorrow!! I am super excited to get this one finished. Not sure where I will be using this one but it's colors will fit either in my bedroom or living room. Like someone else said...."decisions, decisions, decisions", but the layout design is set. :cloud9:

:bravo:

I had settled on a layout (not the Bernat layout), but have never committed to it by sewing my blocks together. I saw your layout last week, and after I saw it again with the edging, I decided to scrap my plan and follow yours if you don't mind. :cloud9: I had already made an additional Week 4 popcorn square, so I will use it in the middle too, and make three more Week 1 squares in my main color to use instead of the 3 different colors. Thank you for your beautiful layout.

 I'm glad you liked it. Replacing the center with the popcorn sounds great. That will help balance it too. Can't wait to see it. :notworthy:

Since so many of you have posted pics of their little "helpers" here's mine. Just one distraction from many that has prolonged my seaming process. I'm almost done. One row left to seam. I was so frustrated when I had to frog out all my previous seams because of mistakes that I followed a prior post suggesting to pin the motif's first. So I pinned row by row before seaming them and it worked like a charm! Thanks to all who has posted tips, tricks and lovely afghan layouts. This has been an incredible journey! Thanks to Bernat and it's team for taking the time for putting this together.

still putting mine together. Keep getting my clues mixed up and have taken it apart three times! I'm making it for someone at work who was out because she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when I started this, so I chose colors she liked. Hope to have it done by next Monday!

Thought I would post a picture to show how far I have gotten on the attaching of my motifs
I haven't been able to work on it to much at home but work is the time I have to sit quietly
and crochet it together. I think it is going very well...everyone at work likes the patterns & colors
