personally I would go with silk or mocha, not so harsh and goes with everything!

I do love the mocha. Brown is one of my favorite colors.

Wow, I'm no where near ready to work on this project, but was sitting here this evening on the computer and between tasks, I picked up a hook and yarn and did a small swatch of this pattern. Not the easiest that I've done, and frogged about 4 or 5 times. Its going to be a pretty set of stitches but just doing the foundation row on the chain row, will take forever! That's my least favorite part of any project.....the first row. Always hard, especially when you are doing several stitches in one of the chains. Maybe after doing it about 100 times, it will get faster. I'll just have to keep reminding myself how pretty it's going to be.

I think I will join you. I just ordered my yarn, Satin in Sapphire blue. I was going neutral until I saw a pic of D-I-Law in a royal blue blouse, her eyes practically glowed cobalt blue. She wears a lot of jeans so the blue should be perfect and is still a light enough blue to be summery. I am looking forward to this I wish they had made this pattern in a mother/daughter choice, my 6 year old diva granddughter would love this.

I'm thinking I will give this a try, I have never made a garment before other that hats and scarves. I love the look of the sweater and have been looking for something like this for the summer! We'll see if I can do this!

Woo Hoo! You and I can learn to crochet a garment together!
I have knitted garments, but have never tried crocheting one. This will be exciting, scary, and educational.

I bought some Satin a couple of weeks ago to do shawls as gifts. The Bordeaux is beautiful but the Plum Mist Heather was a big surprise, it is gorgeous. It is a heathery, deep plummy purple. The only way I could figure out to describe it is take black, purple and dk red grapes and mash and mix the colors together. I HAVE got the stay away from JoAnns.com when they have a sale going

AHHH! That sounds lovely I checked out the colours on Bernat website... Is the Plum mist heather like a cadbury's chocolate purple or more like a maroon purple? I couldn't quite tell on my computer.

Hey, is there room for one more? I will be making two- 1 in Foliage and 1 in Teal. Love the one button sweater look. These will be great for my daughters at work, the back-of- the chair sweater.
