Hi everyone!

Yet another newbie over here. ;) I taught myself to crochet years ago and am so excited to have others to crochet with!! I can’t wait to get started!! Also, this’ll be the first thing I’ve made that I have to choose the colours myself. Eek!!

Good luck everyone! I can’t wait to see progress photos!

I've never done a project quite like this before. I've knitted for years, but only learned to crochet a couple of years ago. I think I'd like this- it'll be good to have help available through the forum. I think I'm going to try for Sundrift, Bitter Rose, Irish Moss, Pink Suede and Willow for colors.

HELLO EVERYONE,
This is my first time to do a Crochet along project. Looking forward to this. I have been crocheting for 35 years now, I am slower now than I used to be because of arthritis, but I still love to crochet. Now to pick my colors and get them ordered.

Me too! Been crocheting for 30 yrs but BRAND NEW to the internet( kids got me a laptop for Christmas). Everyone I work with knits, so no one to compare notes, gripe and congratulate with. I do alot of small blankets to donate to VA Hospital and use the Baby yarn for preemie donations. This way I get to try ALL the patterns, use ALL the colours and know someone will love it. :)
Can anyone who has done this before give me an idea how much time per segment is needed, or how big each segment is? Thanks

First time CAL participant, first time on the Bernat forums.
I'm really excited to work on this afghan! And even more psyched to meet some more crocheters :hellogoodbye:

I only have one friend who crochets and she's super busy with work right now, so she can't participate :tears:
But I look forward to working through this with all of you!
Cheers!

I think there are a LOT of us that don't really enjoy joining. But, maybe we can plan a weekend joining party in here one weekend. We can talk about silly things, and encourage each other that way, posting photos of our achievements and disasters. Let's make it fun! :D

Now that sounds like fun!

I've never done anything like this either. I'm trying to expand my horizons and try new things this year. Plus, if I follow along this would make sure I actually finish a project. lol

This is my first time on this forum, and my first ever CAL! When I read LeeJoyce's post, I realized that I, too, have been crocheting for at least 30 years. OMGosh...where has the time gone??? :o I'm debating between whether to use the Waverly yarns or just go with my usual Super Saver type of yarn. The Waverly colours are more pricey, but ohhhhhhhhhh the gorgeous colours!!! :inlove: Deciding which room it will go in would also be easier if we had some idea of the finished dimensions of the project.

Oh...for all of y'all who hate joining things? I'm not sure I should admit it here, but I LOVE sitting there watching my favourite shows on TV and joining the pieces together into a finished project :P
