I was taught to knit using the continental style (we called it the German method) but I think my hands will like the "throw the yarn" method better--will experment in a couple of weeks. My DH wishes I had not found this forum since I spend too much time here--love the company and ideas!!!!

Fun. And I would like to know how to knit Continental style. It seems to go so much faster. My DH is ok with the forum because he's even worse - he's playing games on his iPad in his spare time! I tell him about all the things I'm learning, and he loves it when I get yarn used up! I need to make a sweater for him very soon, as a matter of fact.....

I loved doing this one. 1st time I ever used the Puff Ball Yarn. It is so much fun. Its really easy to work with. Doesn't take long at all to do the Tea Pot Cozy. Of course my tea pot is only a 3 cupper. So I had to make it a little smaller. I can't wait to make more projects using this yarn. :knit: Image

Started my tea cozy yesterday with some yarn in my stash. It's a lovely spruce green which , as I am knitting away, I have decided will look perfect on my Christmas tea pot. I can almost smell the pine as I knit....
The pattern is lovely and after such a big project, it's great to have almost instant gratification. I shall keep knitting merrily on....... :knit:

Neat! I bet it IS fun, after working a big project.

That's one of the reasons I always have so many projects on the needles and hooks. I can pick which one I want to work on, according to my mood.

If I want to watch TV, I will grab a basic project, worked in a simple design.

If I want to visit with crafting friends, I will take a small project that's easy to carry.

If I feel like doing some REAL craft work, I will plant myself in my knitting chair, with my well-lighted pattern on a music stand in front of me, while I wear my reading glasses, ready to concentrate.

So....I got a bit distracted :  found a lovely crochet scarf pattern on Bernat site using Bernat Cotton Bamboo. Yarn was so lovely I started it right away! Now it's done so I am back to the tea cozy rationalizing it was for Christmas and could wait. I can rationalize anything! Side 2 is half completed...stay tuned
