Thanks, KnitKnacker1234. It came out a lot prettier than I thought it would!

How do we see the pictures of KnitKnacker's afghan?

I don't think that KnitKnacker has posted a finished CAL afghan yet.
KnitKnacker was commenting on the afghan that dcrozier posted.

Kinda blurry, but we can still see your pretty afghan!

Deria wrote:Well I finally finised my blanket. I tried and retried different borders and finally I'm happy with it. I confess I did not come up with the layout, but saw it on the Blanket Possibilities thread and really liked it. My colors look well with my living room and I'm very happy with my blanket. It's been alot of fun!
Colors are Birch White, Greek Sea, Aqua Frost, Colonial Beige and Bark. Now here's hoping my picture works :)

Oh, I love it! :bravo:

Thanks Shandeh :) Thank you too for posting the link on how to post pictures on the site. That helped me alot. I always enjoy reading your comments because you are always so friendly and encouraging.

PS I can finally reply to people because if I post this successfully, it means I've finally figured out how you guys are always quoting back and forth to each other :)

Woo Hoo! Now you know how to post photos AND how to quote other comments in the forum! :bravo:

Deria wrote:I gave in and started the baby blanket yesterday even though it won't be finished before the surgery. It's minor surgery, well a short procedure anyway, and I'm hoping the recovery time isn't too long. But if the surgery works it will be nice to crochet, play with my 4 yr old and even do dishes without pain! It's been 3 years since I injured it.

Good luck with your surgery! :)

Kelly, if you use Flickr for your photos, you don't need to resize them. Flickr has already resized them for you. Just pull up your photo page, click the "Share" button, and then select the size you want to share.

Finally finished mine today!!! :cloud9:

2012 CAL Finished Afghan.jpg

My photography skills are not the best, but I hope you can see the final design I chose is an octogon. From the moment I started playing around with layout options, my motifs were screaming, "We want to be an octogon!!" With the new skills and confidence I gained from this adventure I was able to make half-granny triangles and created trapezoids to fill the spaces needed to make the outside borders.

Thanks to Bernat, the admins, Shandeh, and all those who participated in the forum. Your help and expertise were amazing.

dcrozier wrote:Except for tucking seaming ends, I am finished--I love the way it turned out and even though it is shades of blue, it is very feminine. Thanks Bernat--this has been tons of fun!!!!

This is really pretty! I would never have thought to use the green with the blues; but it makes an appealing eye-catching statement. Another job well done! :bravo:

Thanks, Kodikins. When our son moved out of our house, I painted his room a light blue and hung drapes with bright green leaves and bright yellow and orange flowers and butterflies. I really like the blue and green together. The bedspread, comforter and pillow shams are all patterned with that shade of green. That is the room where I now have my computer so I spend time here. I also like to buy yarn from the store instead of online so I can group the skeins in the basket to see how they will look.

Did I miss your finished blanket photo or have you not posted yet?
