For the crocheted version, the main color is the background color. Birch White works well, but so does any other color that would be a good background for your A, B, and C.

Personally, I'm making the crocheted afghan and using Porcelain Red as my Main color to pick up the reds in the exposed brick in my den.

I have a lot of red with a large sofa and 2 huge chairs so I'm going with Stone Brown as the background and will use the Tibetan Red as an accent color along with Gypsy Gold, Colonial Beige and Cadet.

Does this yarn have a dye lot? or should I guestimate how much I'll need from the get go?

Waverly for Bernat does have a dye lot. It's recommended you buy all of the yarn you need up front to ensure it is all from the same dye lot.

I love the mystery afghan from the fall 2010. :bravo: I have been all over the net trying to find the patterns/clues. The Bernat blog isn't working when you click the link for it. :smashy: Where can one get the clues from previous afghans? (Crochet version )

Ive never knitted or crocheted before, but I'm going to learn by participating. Do you suggest I do the KAL or the CAL?

I just checked on that, and you're right! The Bernat Blog page opens up, but the PDF files for the clues will not open. I'm pretty sure the computer techs at Bernat are working on it, but I'll let them know myself as well.

I'm glad that we can view the 2009 Mystery KAL blanket pattern, though!

Will we receive email notifications each time a new clue is released or will we have to remember to login and find it.
