Here is the border. My dog, Zoe, seems to like it! I noticed another blanket with my dog on it, anyway it sure looked like her! gruvey9 blue.jpg

Edging was simple 3 rows of dc.

I had a great time doing this CAL, my very first afghan and first large project made for myself.

Nice! I like it. Well done. :bravo:

Yorkiemom, are you having trouble assembling it? If so, I learned from sonoma a way to join the pieces using the flat braid method and it worked great.

I'm not having trouble attaching the motif's I am slip stitching them together, it's getting the right motif in the right place that is making me nuts. Pretty soon, lighter fluid, big puff! :ire:

Try laying the pieces out on a flat surface; tie the corners together with small pieces of yarn. That is what I do and it works great. I then stitch on the diningroom table--can't use my lap and keep things organized but doing the corners of all the squares makes it much easier. Hope this helps more than lighter fluid!!!

@Yorkiemom - I have a final layout diagram and then cross out each motif as I add it. I'm still working on mine. Hope to finish by the deadline. Hope that helps. Good Luck :hellogoodbye:

I love your border, the way the colors twist together is gorgeous!! I might try that as I am now starting my border (if I can figure it out). Nice job :bravo:

Here is a pic of my finished afghan, I am so happy with it. This is my second CAL and I love doing them, I don't get much time to go on the forums because I work backshifts but my clues keep me busy enough and I do get on long enough to read the comments and try to answer what I can. I love looking at all the pics and seeing the progress and how all the blankets seem to look different and have their own personality, good job everyone! Your Cal's are beautiful! Can't wait for the next one!! My sister-in-law is the proud owner of this blanket as it matches her colors.
