I cannot tell you how many times I have had to take it apart and start over!! I want to take it outside and burn it but the yarn is fire retardant and would only leave a melted pile of plastic as a forever reminder!! I am going to give it one more try and hopefully it will be done and I can do the border.

Yorkiemom, are you having trouble assembling it? If so, I learned from sonoma a way to join the pieces using the flat braid method and it worked great.
Here's a link to a video on YouTube that'll show you how to flat braid if you want to give it a try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qfBKZwqBgE
I'm not having trouble attaching the motif's I am slip stitching them together, it's getting the right motif in the right place that is making me nuts. Pretty soon, lighter fluid, big puff!
In a previous post, Shandeh mentioned that she used hair clips to hold pieces together while sewing. In my second CAL (monochromatic) I bought a few cards of hair clips at the Dollar Store and they were wonderful in holding the motifs in the right order for a strip and then to hold the sewn strips together as the afghan was being connected! I, too, used a picture to ensure that I had the right motif in the proper place. Hope this helps! ... I am sure that my granddaughters will claim the hair clips when they think I don't need them any more! bglknitter
