Have never been able to find them this year. Your site seems to have changed.

Hi saliroc1! :hellogoodbye:
Nice to have you back for another mystery afghan! :)

I'm sorry you are having trouble finding things in the new Bernat Forum.

This year, we are doing TWO mystery blankets at the same time.

The Slouchy Lace Beret Knit-Along is not a mystery, so there are no clues.
The pattern for the beret is here: Slouchy Lace Beret

How is your slouchy lace beret coming along?

I am slowly working on mine, enjoying every stitch. :D

Last night, while working Round 7, I decided to make a video.

Maybe it will help some of you.

Like your new look, the nail polish! :)
The sound went out on my computer but enjoyed watching you work on your beret.
I have looked at the pattern, and I saw where you posted that your were going to use interchangeable circular needle. Was wondering, if you didn't have the interchangeable ones, could you start with size four for the brim then some kind of way get the stitches on the larger size circular needle? Are you going to be able to finish your whole project on those needles?

Thanks! I don't usually paint my nails, but had to get a manicure last week, because my cuticles were hurting so bad! :? (I have a bad habit of ignoring my nails and cuticles.) All the polish is removed now, but I might just have to go get another manicure before my next video. Oh my! I'm turning into a diva!

Yes, you can start with size 4 needles, then when it's time for the larger needles, just leave your project on the size 4's, and start knitting the next row with the larger size. When you finish that round, you can set aside the size 4's, and work with just the larger ones.

I will keep knitting the hat with the circular needles, until it's time to make decreases. At that point, my circular needle will be too big to work the stitches. So, I'll switch to double pointed needles at that time.

Awesome! It will be a fun way to use just one skein of yarn for a pretty project.
If you don't like the beret when you finish, just save it for a gift! I'm sure you'll eventually find the perfect person to wear it. :)

I think I'll be giving my beret away as well, because I don't usually wear hats. My hair is so thick, that I don't really need a hat.

Welcome to the KAL! :hellogoodbye:
I will be making more videos as I go along. I might make one tonight, showing how to use stitch markers for the pattern. That helps some people to keep track of where the pattern repeats take place.

I didn't make another video yet, but I have been working on my beret. I'm up to row 13 now. How is everyone else's beret coming along?
